Whenever someone wants to start a new diet or exercise routine, it's time consuming and expensive to find information. There are thousands of books dedicated to recipes if you're interested in starting, for example, a low carb diet. But after you run to your local book store, spend 19.95 on a book (that you're lucky to get 5 recipes out of that you find interesting), pick out a few recipes you like, jot down the ingredients, run to the store, pick them up, and later on try to remember which recipes you picked out, starting a new diet can get pretty frustrating. I know, because, well, I've been there.That's when I turned to my wife and said, ?Wouldn't it be great if there was a website out there that we can just pick the recipes we want to make this week, get the ingredients printed out for us, and remember what it was we were going to make later? This is the information generation, is it not??
And that's when I came up with the idea for this website. I wanted to make not just a website, but a community, where like minded people could come together to share recipes, and health and fitness information, that didn't involve a paid subscription. And, I also wanted it to be convenient. Changing a diet, or starting a new fitness routine is challenging, and well, like I said before, time consuming and expensive. I wanted to make it easier for someone who starts a special diet (low carb, blood type, low fat, etc.)to find out what kind of meals they can make that both fit their diet, and they can live with. Also, if someone wants to start a new fitness routine, the hardest thing to do is get started in the right direction. There is a ton of information out there, and I know from experience, it can be tough.
Fitness is going to be a big part of this site, and is something that will be coming sometime in the near future. It's going to take some time to develop this, so, for now, I wanted to start with getting the recipe/grocery list section on line.
